I'm really in need of a new phone and had high hopes with the pixel because of rumours about the great camera.

Unfortunately the pixel is not available in my country, but on top of that they removed the listings of the 6p and 5x. So the only thing can buy from the Google store is a Chromecast basically.

Really bummed about this, I only had nexus devices so far and really don't feel like getting a galaxy.

that's it, not really a constructive post, just sharing my disappointment.

Same boat, I'm massively disappointed it's not on more carriers. Or at least offer a finance option for us in the UK like with project fi in the US.
