Links appearing on Chrome's main screen

Recently, probably after a Chrome update, every time I visit a site a link is put on the main Chrome screen. I can remove them one by one, but how do I stop them from populating the screen in the first place?

I've been seeing that for a while. I don't see a way to get rid of that. Instead, in the Homepage setting in Chrome's menu, you could change it from "Chrome's homepage" to anything of your choosing (like plain ol' Google.com).

Can check chrome flags if any setting there

I'm sure there is a flag that Google changed. I just don't know what it is....

And now they are gone, and no app update did that.... at least not a Chrome update.
