Links not working for MMS in stock messaging app

I've to a t Mobile Note 4 running Lollipop and use the stock messaging app. whenever I get or send an MMS message, links to websites don't show up to where I can click on them. I went to the settings and saw the "Allow access to all links" box unchecked, so I checked it, but it's still not working. I wiped the cache and restarted, but still not working. I've searched on here and on google for an answer, but haven't come up with one yet. I'm sure it's maybe something simple but was wondering if anyone has dealt with this or got any ideas?

Have you tried using a 3rd party app like Hangouts for SMS/MMS? Does it happen there too?

No, I have not tried any 3rd party apps like that yet.Going to try some of those tonight though
