I only use the default Samsung camera, and I've never been interested in any of those apps or even taking selfies, so I don't have to worry about that.

I only install apps that come with something I buy.... and then only when it's a reputable product with a reputable app. No cheap/free Chinese apps get anywhere near my phone. Google has no control over the play store.... it's the wild west of apps :-[

Not all the games are bad. The best way to avoid spying is to avoid cheesy Chinese crapware.

Oh yeah. Filters in those cheesy spyware apps are YUUUCKY. Like the only time I've seen people use such crap is some of the weirder girls in middle and high school.

I also use an S9 port of Gcam that somehow works on my S8, but ONLY when Night Sight is needed. Otherwise the stock camera.
