[LIST] of ROMS and KERNELS

Does anyone have any input on what each ROM provides vs. the others?

And would this fit in Cory's procedure where you "download & copy this new PG05IMG.zip file to your SD card" to upgrade back to the stock release build?

This is just a link to a thorough list of Roms and Kernels available for the Thunderbolt, compiled by DemoManMLS at XDA Forums. I present for your convenience:

I might be falling onto a thunderbolt in the very near future... Im seriously thinkin about it... what is your honest opinion? I am asking you because you know exactly what my inc is running right now (CM7).... other than the coolness factor and front facing camera, should I get it or should I wait and see what is around the bend? your the only one I have asked their opinion on it cuz we are both from the same inc mold ;)

You would just have to read the changelogs for each Rom to see what they have to offer. Check out the screenshots if they're available

I'm not sure what you mean by fitting cory's procedure to to go back to stock. Do you mean do you flash these roms by renaming them pg05IMG? No. You make a back up of your current (rooted) system thru rom manager, then you boot into recovery mode, and wipe your cache/dalvik/data, then you find the zip file of the rom you want to flash, and install it like any other rom or kernel (forget the data wipe for kernels). If that's not what you mean than be more specific and we can get you an answer ;). but if you mean can you go back to stock if you load one of these roms or kernels, the answer is yes.

@ sseth - yoo i'm really happy with my thunderbolt, and in many ways it has dwarfed my droid incredible. When i first got the thunderbolt, i was very happy with my dinc running cm7, so it was a little bit of a let down, bc the dev has only just started for the tbolt... and specwise the tbolt isnt really a huge step up from the dinc. However, after a few weeks of owning the tbolt, the 4g lte speeds are really killer - i could not go back to 3g right now. Everything else about the tbolt i've gotten used to - like the size and heft, which actually are pretty nice. As far as ram goes, and processor, you're not looking at a big bump, tho, from the dinc anyway. I knew that going in, but you're not going to be floored by the performance of the tbolt, but the lte speeds will definitely blow you away (it's seriously faster than my verizon fios wifi at home... which is fast to begin with).

So, all that said, i think the tbolt was a nice choice for me, and i really like it alot, but if verizon had a pyramid or even the galaxy s 2 coming out, i would be a little wary of upgrading.... just for the dual core + the 4g speeds. But, you can't have everything i guess.... and realistically, you can either come in on the ground floor of dual core (no one knows what it will really be like i guess) or you can get probably one of the last and best single core phones out there... the thunderbolt.

See ya on the other side!

Also if you hit the link, there are links to each rom's thread at xda forums, and each rom has a write up in the op about what they are and what they're like (sense or not, themed or not, etc)

I am running das bamf 1.4 remix, currently, bc the de sensed roms haven't struck me yet, and this is just the start of tbolt development, anyway. Das bamf is exceedingly stable, which is why i've stuck with it. I have flashed virus rom for a couple hours, and had das bamf 1.3.2 running for a few days, but i havent tried them all so i can't really tell you what they're like or how they compare.
