Little Facebook icon on to left hand corner of my lock screen

How do I get rid of this, I have no notifications and it won't go away

Is this the bottom corner? If so, check your lockscreen settings as it seems you have set a shortcut for the FB app there.

when i turn on my phone there is a little facebook icon in the upper left hand corner of my galaxy s7, it won't go away, why?

If the Facebook icon is in your status bar, swipe down the notification panel and see if there's a notification there.
