Little Help Understanding Multi-Window?

So I gather only certain apps support multi-window- that's fine. I am NOT interested in rooting and I'm not open to altering the .APKs so I can live with whatever apps are supported....but I have a few questions please...

When I click the multi-window 'carat' and the list of apps pops up along the bottom of the screen, I gather those are the apps that DO support multi-window? Right?

It then appears you can EDIT that but it looks like all you can do is temporarily remove apps from that list by moving them up into the big black rectangle that opens above? Do I have that right?

You can move an app that DOES support multi-window up and therefore have it not show when you 'up carat' to open the list along the bottom? That's really all you can edit I gather?

My main wish is that Dolphin browser supported m/w, but if I need to use the tablet's browser I can handle that. I do like that TouchDown Exchange, that I use for Exchange mail for work, seems to support Multi-window....I guess apps that natively support it automatically show up along the bottom until you put them off to the side if you don;t use them by dragging them up into the black?

Thanks...I have watched all the tutorials and read the manual but still looking to confirm my understanding of this, so I appreciate any info.

You seem to have a complete grasp on it.......without rooting, then installing multi window control from the play store, you cannot pick which apps YOU would like to have in the multi window. Even though your not interested in rooting, just as information, you can just root(no need for recovery, roms, etc) and use your note stock, just rooted. This would allow you to run MWC app. Just saying...

As an fyi, puffin browser does support multi window and it is very fast and also supports flash.

Thanks...will think about rooting, but because it's a Verizon 4G/LTE device I'm inclined not to.

Gotcha, mine is wifi. I might have thought differently too if I had 4g. I did root my vzw note2 however.
