What version of android does it have. if it is running 2.1 you should be able to. go to the android market search live wallpaper, download what you want.

then go hold down home screen, select wall paper, then select live wallpaper, then select what you want. click set wall paper, and you are good to go.

It's running 2.1. I downloaded a live wallpaper from the market and installed. Shows as installed in applications list but no where can I find how to select live wallpapers (only can select wallpaper gallery, sprint id wallpaper, and pictures). Maybe something in this Sprint build blocks the live wallpaper?

version shows as 2.1-update1
Build ECLAIR.DI11
Kernal 2.6.29

i doubt that because then the evo and the epic would not be able to do it. thats odd

No I couldn't get it to work. I started to look around the forum but not a lot of spare time right now. Gonna keep working on it though!

I also have a Samsung Transform and also can not get the live wallpapers to work. Has any progress been made on how to make the live wallpaper work? I downloaded a cool fish tank wallpape that I would love to use.

I downloaded a Live Wallpaper app last night and I got a warning telling me that my phone doesn't support Live Wallpaper. I'm not sure why the Transform wouldn't have Live Wallpaper access, but it doesn't. Maybe a software update will fix this issue. But for now I guess we can't use Live Wallpaper... Which is just wrong.

Yes the transform can run live wallpapers just as the Moment...sdx has the instructions in the Moment and Transform boards...you have to install a couple lib files and the live wallpaper picker....

Cool to hear that but I searched in the wrong places I guess.

I had to root my phone and it worked, but I didn't think it was worth it. Battery died faster and I noticed a slower performance

You need to download the app Live Home to get the live wallpapers to work. Its an awesome app but took up lots of space on my phone so I uninstalled. Still having issues though with space on phone with few apps installed.

Give it to me straight.

So basically what you're saying is that you probably shouldn't bother with live wallpapers unless you can hack into smart phones, cus I followed all of those links and all of those instructions are gibberish to me, plus have warnings that if you don't perform them correctly you can do things like "brick" your phone. I don't know what that means but it sounds bad.

Just so you know, "brick"ing your phone is making it as useless as a brick. No functionality period. The rest is Greek to me as well, so don't feel bad about it.;)

You dont have to do really an of that when you plug your phone to the computer turn on open storage and create a folder live wallpapers and a folder name sdx inside of that folder a folder called zip. Go to this page and download the samsung moment zip file move it to the zip folder in the sdx folder on your sd card(removable diskE:) unplug usb and reboot for to recovery. turn phone off and hold volume down voice button under power button then power button until the grey line starts laoding under the samsung logo and let go. go to apply zip and press menu button which is the select button. follow steps and reboot to system when done phone will be able to use live wallpapers off the market like others any one will work
