Live wallpapers not displaying correctly (black screen)?

Hey all,
recently I discovered that you can have live wallpapers, which seems like a very cool feature.
However, all the live wallpapers I installed faced the same issue: Once I select them in the list of wallpapers, they should preview, and a button appears where you can set them as a wallpaper (either home- or lockscreen I suppose).
My problem is: the previews themselves don't work. It's just a black screen. And when setting it as a wallpaper, the actual wallpaper is also just that: a black screen.
I have installed multiple live wallpapers from different sources (I even coded one on my own to test it) and this issue happens with all of them. Meaning, it's most likely a problem with my phone, I guess.
I already tried reinstalling all the wallpapers, restarting my phone multiple times, and disabling the battery saver, just in case it interferes with live wallpapers. None of these things worked though :/
I have a Samsung Galaxy A40 with Android 11, by the way.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Welcome to Android Central! Try booting into Safe Mode and see if any of the stock live wallpapers work: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/...st, press and hold the,Tap the Safe mode icon.. If they do, then something you installed might be interfering.
