Live Weather Lock Screen with Location Off

Hello, just wanted to confirm with the community if they too are seeing that the live wallpaper setting for the lock screen (the one that updates the pictures periodically and shows falling snow if its snowing) only is functional when your Location setting is enabled. Also same with the 'show weather on lock screen' option which i find will only appear when i have Location 'on'.

As soon as i turn Location off, and set my weather to a static city, i no longer see the rotating pictures or the temperature on the lock screen.

thanks. i dont know how you found that because when i searched for 'live weather location lock screen note 4' that thread did not show up in any of the results (and running that same search now has this post at the top of the list, conveniently haha)

Actually the information is available in a explanation of the widget in the settings area listed in the linked post above.

what do you mean? there is nothing in the explanation that says that location services must be enabled?
