local sim in note 4

Hello I am currently in japan and before I got here I ordered a local sim card and it just arrived today I put the sim card in and as I started following the instructions I got stuck at the " change network mode" the instructions tell me to set it to "WCDMA only" but the only options I see are "global" "LTE/CDMA" and "LTE/GSM/UMTS" I'm not sure if I'm missing something or if my phone won't support it so if anyone can help me I would really appreciate it thank you

Oh and forgot to write that my note 4 is from Verizon and also I already changed the apn settings as it said on the instructions but nothing had changed
