I am trying to find and copy to my PC, via USB-mini cable, the videos from my S4.
I can find the pictures, but in what folder are the videos located?

(I want to do a direct copy and not go thru the likes of Dropbox, or any other intermediary software).

Thanks for your help.
Peter.

Look in your camera app settings, to see if it has a setting for the location of the videos. Otherwise, look in the DCIM folder (in one of the folders in it) or look for a Videos folder. (Different apps save videos in different places. They're supposed to save all shots in the DCIM (Digital Camera IMages) folder, by convention.)

Thank you Rukbat,
I looked in...
Settings>More>Applications Manager>GALAXY Apps ... Nothing to help me there.
As before, I found my *.jpg files in DCIM, but again, no videos.
Are the video files MP4 format? I searched the phone for MP4 but nothing.
I also searched for WMV but nothing either.
Do you know the format of the video files?
Thanks for your help.
Peter

I just looked, on my s4 Active they are in the DCIM/Camera folder & yes, they are mp4 format. And the Galaxy Apps that you mentioned is just a Samsung version of an app store. Doesn't really have anything to do with your local device per say.

Thanks, prolongEx, and Ruckbat.
I downloaded 'Samsung Kies 3' an interfacing program for PC>Mobile, and reverse.
Kies has solved my problem.
Also, after having used Kies, I can NOW find the MP4 files in DCIM/Camera (as you say prolongEx), using Windows Explorer, where before I could not. It's is one of those 'go figure' outcomes.
Also, I made a test video with phone, and did not have Kies open. But Explorer was able to find the video in the DCIM/Camera folder, as one would expect.
So, I really don't know what the deal is, but all works now.
Thanks for your support.
Peter.
