location permanently on since last update

It seems to endlessly search for GPS. Had a bit of excessive battery drain as well where my battery was depleted in six hours (Android OS was using it all). It's probably just one app causing it, but still, didn't happen pre update

This sounds suspiciously like Google Now, or a Google setting.

Do you have a Google Settings app? If you do, then open it up and tap on Location. Next, tap on Location Reporting and switch it off.

If that is already off, then you could try installing Wakelock Detector, that *might* tell you which app is running your battery into the ground.

Or change in location settings to power saving mode.
