I've been trying it out, anyone else notice that if the phone is in standby (screen is off) that any hardware button will wake it, and take the phone to the slide to unlock screen? No need to have to use the Power button on the top right of the phone. I have been using the camera button, and its much more convienent! Just thought I'd ask!

I'm on my second Droid now, both did not act that way. The only wake up comes from the standby button up top.

Trying ScreenModeWidget now.. ide like to be able to control some of the unlock behaviour.. looks like this one may do it.. will report back.

So is it any good? Do you get the charging battery when connected?

Seems like ScreenModeWidget works as advertised.

"Sleep Auto" - Screen will turn off, device wakes on power/lock button press.
"Stay Awake" - Wakes and unlocks phone (can use camera, volume or power buttons)
"Screen Stay" - Phone always awake and unlocked.

Could use some improvement.. but it does what I need.

I checked this out a week ago and this is what I found...

Lags tremendously
Drains battery
Volume button turns the screen on
Password protect is a joke. Can be bypassed with home longpress, reboot, or pull down notification bar
Memory hog

Thanks that is what I needed to know. My boy DMG is working on porting his StormSlider from the BB to the Droid. I will wait for that. Shouldn't be to long as they are both Java.

This is what I use as well. I recommend it to anyone. I have the 2nd option, which is "Stay Awake." This way it doesn't lock every time the backlight goes out.
