lock button restarts my phone?

My phone works find until I hit the power/lock button. It then restarts itself. I did a factory reset and took the battery out. Neither fixed the problem. Any ideas?

does it do that instantly? As in 'as soon as you touch the button'? Or does it do it after a few seconds. If it's the first, it's a short inside the phone, probably... If it's the latter, maybe the button latch (or the signal press) is 'getting stuck'; pressing and holding the power button for a few seconds on most devices will reset them.

If I hit it once it does nothing not even lock. Then the second time is restarts. I can't even power it off it just keeps restarting.

Yup, sounds to me like it's a latch problem. Maybe something's stuck in there.

I am also facing the same problem, but it is happening even my phone is locked?
