Lock phone with numbers instead of pattern?

Last time I had the Hero and pattern was the only way to lock and unlock the phone. Can you lock the phone with numbers now?

I believe there's an app for that now. Don't know the name off the top of my head. It's in the market though.

Its called LockBot. Its a program that allows you choose which style of slide to unlock (such as iphone, cupcake, eclair, xperia) with also customizing the background or choose a theme from the gallery. You can a password on unlock which is numerical. The full program is paid but there is a light trial version.

I think you'll like it. The paid version is better because you're able to customize A LOT more. People give the light version negative reviews only because they can't use the programs full potential. I love it. So try the light version but realize it does have restrictions.

I'm seeing some negative reviews on LockBot. Even for the paid version. Anyone
have another app? Hardly finding anything in the Market. I simply want a passcode
lock instead of the pattern. Just more convinient.

It's coming with 2.2 for sure so if you can't find anything in the market that works depending on what phone you have you'll see it soon enough. I'm not much help aside from that but I just figured I'd throw it out.

Does anybody know how many tries you get with the pattern lock?
I know it was like ten on the BB and the device wiped.....
Curious in case my kids get a hold of my phone..
