Lock Screen date

I cannot seem to get the date to appear on the lock screen. I've found the setting, but no date on lock screen.

Same thing is happening to me...driving my NUTS! I've checked and unchecked the date box, removed and reapplied the widget...nothin.
 
I got it to work by selecting the date format. It seems that there is no selection until you make one. Seems stupid as faer as I'm concerned - it should be a default.

Where did you find that date format selection?

UPDATE: found it in device settings. Thanks.. can't believe it wasn't just reading the carrier specified date, but at least it worked. Now, if if S Health wouldn't crash every time I opened it... :-\

Thank you so much for this info :) . I just wasted two hours talking to Sprint and Samsung, but they couldn't figure it out. Samsung asked me to call back tomorrow for advanced tech support. What a silly problem.

For other people, go to settings, click on More tab, click on Date and time, click on Select date format, and select one of the date formats. Also go to Settings/My device tab/Lock screen/Lock screen widgets/Edit personal information, and make sure the date option has its check mark on.

Samsung software engineers:
You idiots! Test and fix your operating systems. And let people root their devices without voiding the warranty, so people can install Titanium Backup. This way, when you ask people to do a hard reset, people don't get angry at you for having to do all their app settings again!!!!
 
i have the same issue :(
my friend has the date appear in them devices but i am not.
i spend more than 3 hour trying every trick but nothing :(
