Lock screen dim

I have been plagued with a dim lock screen. I found it workaround by going to SETTINGS ISPLAY:BRIGHTNESS : then moving the slider back and forth once. The lock screen stays bright until I turn the Pixel off
Is there a way to have the Assistant with a routine, automatically perform the same function each time I turn the Pixel on. I know I'm lazy. Thanks.
