Lock screen notification

Any way to make the lockscreen notification transparent instead of the white background? It looks ugly that way. Just showing notification on the wallpaper would be very nice.

Anyway to do this in pixel 2?

You'd probably have to opt for a custom ROM for that... If one exists that tweaks that. Google moved to that style when they went though the Material Design overhaul starting with 5.0.

I'm not sure you'll be able to tweak that on other OEMs, either. Lockscreen customization was a huge security hole... Remember back in 4.4 where you could have widgets on the lockscreen? Even highly customized versions of Android often leave that area be in order to reduce risk.

I've been using a 3rd party lock screen "Next" that has this transparent feature. You can try it and if it's not your bag then not much loss. IMO it's one of the better lock screen apps. YMMV

You can use NiLs. No need for root or custom ROM.
