Lock Screen SPAM, PLEASE HELP!

When my screen comes out of lock and goes to home screen I keep getting this advertisement (see attached image). I uninstalled the last few apps which were added to my phone and it's still active. Has anyone seen this? Please help!

Problem fixed: I simply deleted the last couple of recently installed apps along with my compass app and the full page advertisement disappeared.

I look at the terms "third party app" and "free" as dirty words

It often isn't recently installed app, but the app was updated or even pulled in an ad server that has been compromised.

Google doesn't catch them all. Don't know if the scans performed by ESET or Malwarebytes and others do anything.

Blocking ads, AdGuard Plus or others, can filter malware laced ads.

Apos if dubious value are just something to beware of, how many downloads, reviews, version updates and length of time on Google Play.

I wish we could sort Google Play by last updated and more.
