Lock screen (unlock slide bar lags..)

Anyone else care or not care that when they slide the lock to unlock their phone that the bar itself feels choppy/laggy?

Did they fix this in the official 2.2? I'm still running the leaked and it seems like it moves, jumps, moves, jumps.. it's not very smooth at all.

Lag sucks. If you press and hold it down for a sec then slid its less lag for me. Still with we had no lag.

I just don't get it because the original iPhone, the slide was extremely smooth and that was on hardware that is inferior in every aspect to the DroidX..

Hopefully GPU hardware acceleration comes with either 2.3 or 3.0 because Android is definitely showing a weakness without it.

If you download a lock screen program like Widget Locker...it eliminates it. 2.2 did not improve it.

Had some trouble with double (ie: 2) lock sliders, one above the other on the lock screen after I installed WL. One was a lock and the other a "tool" slider. Couldn't figure out how to get it back to only one slider. Eventually uninstalled it.

Gotta go into the "configuration" screen to add/subtract sliders.

I'll try this WidgetLocker.. just SUCKS that you have to PAY for something that should be in the OS from the Manufacturer...

Well if it adds functionality like allowing me to add other sliders for frequently used apps, it "might" be worth it.. good thing is if you uninstall within 24 hours you get credited back your money.

You can flash the no sliders lock and then you wont see it lagging

Right...being able to add whatever apps or widgets you want to the home "lock" screen is the real added feature to the Widget Locker program. The smoother unlock slider is just an added bonus!

You can alleviate the lag fairly significantly by disabling animations in your settings menu, jsut go to settings > display > animations. It still wont be as smooth as any other phone (this seems to affect only the DX the Droid 2 doesnt have this issue). The animations are just cosmetic things as far as I can tell, such as when you open an app it kind of pops out at you, removing animations gets rid of that. I agree with you though this is one of the most annoying htings about my X, I truly think it was pure laziness on Moto's part to not have fixed this yet.

Widget Locker is the best application and no lag at all... Its a must have app for me...

+1 for widget locker. One of my 'must haves' for android devices. Doesn't draw upon system resources heavily either- pretty lightweight and elegant solution. Currently using the iPhone styled slider w/ beautiful widgets, battery indicator, and a black and white background- super slick and no lag on the unlock at all.

I don't see a lag in the unlock screen. There is a double click, but no lag. Maybe imblucky. I'm. Running stock Froyo.
