Lock screen / viber notifications exposed

Hi, I wasn't sure whether to post this under the apps sub category or not. It's a question about a lock screen notification, but a lock screen notification from Viber.

I have my default settings on my Nexus 6 / lollipop set to "hide sensitive notification content" for when the device is locked. This works fine except with the app viber. Viber insists on showing the content of the message on the lock screen and this has already proven to be a violation of privacy with others around me.

Does anyone know how to set viber / third party apps so that they conform to the system settings for lockscreennotifications? I have been looking on google but so far no luck.

noticed the same on my Priv by BlackBerry.
In Viber settings, go to Notifications, disable "unlock for popups"
