So my lock screen weather is not updating. It's been stuck for a couple of days at 90. I have location services on so any other ideas?

Click on the big weather widget on the home screen. After opening it up, go to settings, & adjust or background sync to your liking.

If you're not using the stock weather widget, then your lock screen won't update. Google and/or Samsung helpfully took that useful bit of customization away in an effort to force everyone to use what THEY want you to use. Wow... so glad their not like Apple. Oh. Wait...

That's incorrect

I see. Well... if you have a unrooted phone, it turns out that it's NOT incorrect. You don't have to be displaying the widget, but you DO have to use the built in weather app that google wants you to use.

Now, if you feel my information is incorrect, that's fine. Please provide explicit directions for using something else to update the stock lockscreen because I'd LOVE to be using 1Weather instead of whatever google provides.

I also would like to use 1Weather on my lock screen.

The reason I know it's incorrect is because it does update. Just periodically stops. After reboot its all good again. Just very annoying. I'm starting to see that Android phones require reboots often to keep things in check. Funny how these little quirks don't make into Samsung commercials lol next best thing. Whatever.

Yeah, they do require reboots. You can set the stock widget to update in the background and that should update the lockscreen. I don't think it does on my Samsung Note 8 tablet, but it seems to on my S5 phone.
