Lock with power button not working

Subject says it. It's not locking with power button, just timeout. Any ideas?

If i hit power button, screen turns off, wait a few seconds, hit power button, homescreen wallpaper appears, swipe up, phone unlocked.

That's been reported before for the S8, but I can't remember right now if a solution was found. I'll look around...

Carrier and does this only happens when you are on a phone call?

If it happens all of the time and not just when on a phone call, it could be:
-trusted place
-trusted Bluetooth device
-maybe on body detection or something similar that is not functioning properly.
