Locked Nexus 4

Hello all,
Finaly I am able to get Nexus 4 from carrier in my country. But I am not using that carrier, so my uncle is willing to get me phone, but I think it will be locked. Is it easy to unlock it and stuff or is it pain in the a** as iphone were?
Should I go for it? ATM using galaxy nexus.

You would have to check with the carrier. In the us, T-Mobiles are sim unlocked even subsidized ones. If your buying it full price, I wouldn't think it would be locked.

If it is bought from the Google Play store it is completely unlocked.
