locked out and frustrated Google Samsung Nexus 10
hi i think os updates aren't playing nice with my tablet. my lockscreen is pure black and i cant get in. its been over six weeks and i am so sad. i think it was marshmellow. when i push the power button i can see a flash of my desktop and then black. i can swipe all i want and nada. you can see the screen is on, but its a black screen. please help!!!
about my device: i pre-ordered my tablet thru google playstore its a Google Samsung Nexus 10 16gb (they didn't offer 32 at the time) with android ice cream sandwich? but the jellybean upgrade happened right after i received mine, because I bought it thru the playstore so I get free auto OS updates.
Well i think about kitkat things started getting weird, like lockscreen freezes and sudden crashes/reboots. No more taking a pic while in facebook messenger, if you press that button the screen rotates 90* every three seconds until you can reboot. yay.
ive called google, the it dept made me go into the diagnostic? side, you know where you press all the buttons at once and it shows the android with his hood open? well whatever basic crap they tell me to do didnt work.
so they transferred me to samsung, where someone with a thick accent who doesn't care is reading through a binder on how to do quick code resets to a cell phone (which i interrupt to tell them we are not working on a cell phone here) and the crap they tell me to do makes my tablet screenshot, and i tell them but they insist..
then they transfer me to someone who wants me to mail my treasure to korea? and pay them $72 an hour to do a factory data reset. i tell them i dont want a factory data reset!!!! i swear to god, every time i call, their resolution process is the same. bang my head on desk.
so here i am bored as hell with my everything in life stuck in a $585 cumbersome paperweight. someone please help.
