Locking into portrait mode after update Help

So after the new update on s9+ to the new one UI one thing I am hoping I can change is the fact that when I lock into portrait mode, usually I do this when I'm laying in bed on my side and still want to use in portrait mode but now when I do that there's a little grey circle that appears with an icon of a phone turning in and out of portrait and landscape. It's incredibly frustrating when I need to touch a button or something in that corner cause it's in the way, it's not always there but it's there like 70% of the time. I'm wondering if there's a way to turn it off?

i don't think there is a way to disable it.
