Lockscreen not working and power button turns it off

Hi all, I have a big problem right now with my SII.... I was using the nightly version of CM9, but i was used to having some apps from Samsung, the I swiched back to the stock ROM from a backup I had on my phone, for my surprise the lockscreen wasn't working (not showing) and when I left the power button pushed to get the menu of power, airplane mode and reboot the phone power off, then I went back to Recovery Mode, wipe the dalvik, the cache reboot it and nothing... I wiped the user data and nothing...
Last night I flashed the 2.36 and it worked again, then I downloaded the LPE version for ICS... failed again.

Can you guys tell me what may be wrong?

Not sure if this helps.. Did you church in settings > security to see if lock is set to none
