Lockscreen notifications

Is there anyway to get lockscreen notifications similar to iOS? I would like to have my texts and emails show up like on my previous iPhone.

well for the texts, you can go into the settings in the messaging app, and select preview message. if youre not entirely happy with that, youd have to download a 3rd party messaging app
