Lollipop Notifications

On some devices with lollipop, you can interact with the notifications from the lock screen. For example, you have a notification of receiving a message. You pull down on it and you can respond from the lock screen. That doesn't seem to be working on my G3. Am I missing something?

Is your device locked? If so, you need to enable the option for viewing notifications. But even then, not all apps allow you to interact with them. Some have the ability to be pulled down to expand (Ex: Taking a screenshot gives you a notification, and pulling down on it allows you to share/edit/delete).
