lollipop update - now my phone wakes up in my pocket

Before the update my phone would only wake up when the power button was pushed. Now my screen and sound comes alive often. I'll hear it jingling in my pocket. I have to take it out and press the power button quite often.

How can I disable the front button and volume buttons when the screen is off?

For the record, I really dislike the new update.

The Home button woke up my phone prior to the update too. Aside from rooting your phone, I don't know a way to disable that button.
