I'm on Vodafone in the UK and 'upgraded' my S5 to Lollipop yesterday. So far I am struggling to see why I bothered.
The only differences that I can see are the changing of the dark backgrounds to white, the Touchwiz blue lightening up a little and the lack of the music controls on the lock screen.
I know that I am only seeing the Touchwiz version of 5.0 but Samsung seem to have decided that Lollipop isn't for us and the features that I was looking forward to are nowhere to be seen.
In particular, Smart Lock. This is just nowhere to be found on my phone. I would love to be able to disable my lock screen when at home or in my office but Samsung won't let me.
I don't notice any huge differences in the lock screen itself either. The whole switch to Lollipop, so far anyway, seems to be a total waste of time.
I think that I would like to root my phone and install the standard lollipop ROM, would this be possible or is it not yet safe to do so?
Thanks!
