Hey All,

Will the Nexus 6p allow you to long press on Google Image results to save the image like other phones used to in the recent past?

Thanks!

No.... Last year (or so) if you searched for an image on Google Images and then long pressed on the resulting image preview, it would allow you to "save image as." a while ago, Google seemed to have disabled this function.

I wasn't sure of they allowed the Nexus line to still have this privilege. It was the most convenient thing in the world!

Now you need first to open the page where the picture is included and then long press on it to download.

From the list of pictures, tap the picture, tap the picture again, then long press.

I've noticed this too. You cannot save photos from within actual the Google search app but if you open chrome to do an image search it works just fine. Sometimes I'll forget and it is a bit annoying to have to open chrome to repeat the search but it's not really a huge deal.
