I have a Galaxy S7 edge and a few weeks ago I was very happy to see I could finally update my phone to 7.0 Nougat. With the new features I was most looking forward to getting Google Assistant.
However, whereas before when I long pressed the home button and S Voice or Google Now would pop up (which I could configure in settings) nothing happens except for some highlighting around the edge of the screen.
When I open the Google app, it has setting related to assistant, but I can't find anything anywhere about how to tie it to my home button or if I even have it.
Basically after updating I'm not sure what happened to S Voice, Google Now, and if I have Google Assistant (which I would like to map to my home button for ease of use because it looks awesome!). Thanks for any help anyone can shed!
*Lo and behold it was just a simple uninstall of the Google app and several phone restarts and I'm not the proud owner of a phone with Google assistant. This was bugging me to no end but the classic IT restart your computer was the best approach after all.
