Longer charge cable

Anyone have any recommendations where to get a longer charge cable like around 6ft long

In my experience, definitely from some internet outlet. If price is an issue, don't go to your local carrier store or the phone equipment section of a warehouse store. I found a net dealer who offered a usb extension cable, 3 m long, for what equals to app. 2 us dollars plus shipping.

To me it doesn't matter that it's an extension cable, i.e. it doesn't have a micro usb plug that goes directly in the phone. Instead I plug it in between the charger and the short, bundled cable.

nice, I'm looking at something in the 10-15 foot range so probably going to go with an extender just need to know if it matters if its 2.0 or 3.0 USB

Get the 2.0. 3.0 won't benefit you and I'm not even sure it's backwards compatible with 2.0 cables from an extension standpoint.
