Longer charger cord

I recently purchase a gen 4 exploring. So far I like the watch and the price was right. The only thing I do not like is the short cord on the charger. The cord will barely reach the height of my night stand. Are there any good aftermarket chargers available with a longer cord?

Get a USB A male to USB A female extension. A 100cm (over 3 feet) is $3.79 on eBay. There's a 5 foot cable for $2.99. There are plenty on Amazon too, at a slightly higher price (in the $5-$10 range, depending on length), if you want one faster.

Just plug the end of your existing cable into the extension, and the other end of the extension into the charger.

I thought about using an extension but thought it might slow down or prevent charging. Anyone have any experience with this?
