Longest SOT ever!

So at the end of everyday, I check my battery stats to see how much screen on time I've received. Not that it matters, I'm just curious. So last night I got this... (See pic attached)



Unbelievable, it's the longest I've ever gotten. It beat out the 7 hours and 45 minutes I got on KitKat and that was a 2 time occurrence. My average SOT is 6 hours with 5.0 and 5.1 so I'm extremely content with my phone but this... This is stupid good. I wish it happened everyday.

By the way, I'm using Doze and Shutapp... I'm not sure if that affects the battery life of 5.1 coz I haven't used it without these apps. As soon as I boot up after an update, I restore my old settings straight away.

I also see 9% battery left. It's good that the Note 4 battery is pretty cheap, because if you keep dropping it below 40%, you're going to be replacing it.

That kind of defeats the purpose of enjoying my phone though thankfully I haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary in the last year. Hope it stays this way!

Wow! That Stat is a far fetched dream for me. Ever since 5.0.1 happened the most I have got is 4 hrs of SOT. You're lucky... Can't wait for 5.1.1

I've always had great battery life which is something I'm so grateful for, knowing others have had nightmares with their Note 4.

WOW! I wish I got 7hrs of SOT. I usually get 4hrs SOT, and I am happy with that. I keep the screen brightness turned up all the way 90% of the time. I like to take advantage of this big beautiful screen.

I usually keep my screen brightness on auto but the next time I want to extend my battery use, I'll definitely try this.

Yep. I've always ran my batteries down and have yet to have one degrade to the point that I've said, wow, I think it's time to get a new one. To each their own. I'm not going to say that there aren't ways to make batteries last longer, but who cares. It's a $20 battery that's meant to be used. We're all going to ditch these phones in a year or two anyway. It doesn't matter. Use it.

Hopefully when Marshmallow arrives along with 'Doze' this should help the battery in standby.

That's crazy, my brightness is always on auto
