I use Google's Calendar but it is no longer reliable for actually alerting me it's time for a meeting. If I use "OK Google" it adds the event and never bothers to tell me when it's time for the event. If I create an event which Thunderbird, which is linked with my Google Calendar, TB will notify me it's time for an appointment. But if I am away from my desk, the phone does not notify me.
Yes after adding, I can edit every appointment and select to notify and alert me, but I have these appointments scheduled out weeks and months in advance. Some are weekly meetings, others are things like a dentist appointment 6 months out.
Since google calendar requires all the extra steps I'm looking for an alternative appointment calendar that expects people to be made aware of appointments.
Any suggestions?
