Looking for a Kernel.

I'm coming in late on the Droid Incredible game and I haven't really found out whats good and whats not. So I was curious whats a good kernel to use for the Incred.

Wireless tethering is needed.

On a more serious note...the answer to your question depends upon what you're looking to achieve in a kernel.

Are you looking for eye popping Quadrant scores? You'll sacrifice stability and battery life.

Battery life? Some kernels work better with some ROMs...others, not so well.

And even though we all have the same phone with the same exact hardware, what programs you run seem to affect performance and battery life...not to say anything about how you've got the basic system set up.

To shorten the answer up...you need to try the various combinations for yourself. For me, I usually use the kernel that the ROM cook either bakes in or suggests and have had quite satisfactory performance.

Try the new HTC one-- I'm running RR 2.1 and this kernel with the stock battery and everything is running great for me--MUCH improved battery life and it charges A LOT faster (like it used to before we got 2.2)

+1 for kings kernel #5 falling up. Although im more for high performance. Haven't had a chance to monitor battery life yet.

Really, the best thing is to test-drive them yourself. There are so many ways in which each phone can be set up differently, the only way to find what works best is to experiment. ....and have fun while you do it!
