Hi all, I'm thinking about getting a new phone soon as I am able to and am trying to decide between one of three phones. I have the Eris and love htc's sense ui but I was wondering what motorola is like. I would like to get either the htc merge, the droid pro, or the droid 2 we. Any suggestions. Or any news about anything else that may be a new high end android device on the horizon. I want the newest and greatest. I am on verizon too. Thanks for any ideas.

I personally hate Motorola and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. But that's just me. I prefer HTC to Motorola. If you want "newest and greatest", that wouldn't be the D2, even though it's the new WE. Go with the Merge.

If I didn't need a new phone pronto I would have waited for the htc Merge. I got the droid x and motos ui is ok at best. I install launcher pro over EVERYTHING except Sense.

I haven't heard too many great things about Motos ui. The only reason I would consider the DX or D2WE is because I want a strong processor and a good battery. I have the Eris and my brother has the Dinc and I'm rather jealous of his processing power and camera and all that stuff but both of our phones batteries have room to improve. I like the idea of not having to worry about my phone dying every single day. :(

If that is the case I would go to Black Berry. the average android device with moderate use (email, text, GTalk, web, youtube, sync) will die in about 8 hours or less. If you do not do anything with your phone, maybe one or two texts and an email or two and some phone calls it might last all day.

I think I'm gonna hold out for the HTC Droid Incredible HD which is rumored to be coming out prior to Thanksgiving. Basically, it's supposed to be the Evo for Verizon. Android Central reported on it recently. Sounds pretty slick if the rumors are correct.
