Looking for a new stock-sized battery

My original Thunderbolt battery appears to be on its last legs, so I'm looking to get a new battery to get me through the next 6 months before I get a new phone. I'm only looking at the stock-sized batteries (I don't want the bulk of the big extended batteries).

Amazon has several (ranging from 1550-1750 mah) that appear to be usable in my Thunderbolt. I am more interested in quality and life expectancy than capacity. Only after quality, do I care about capacity.

Does anyone have any recommendations/gotchas about the following batteries? I know Anker makes good products and it specifically says that it's for a Thunderbolt, so purely on quality, I would go with that one, but I hear that a Rezound battery will fit fine in a Thunderbolt, so I'm leaning towards that one simply because it has a slightly higher capacity. The others, 1700 and 1750 seem kind of iffy, and I haven't heard great things about Seidio.

Anker 1550mah

HTC Rezound 1620mah

HTC 1700mah x 2 plus charger

Seidio 1750mah

Thanks!

I have the extended battery and love that I don't have to think about my battery life, ever. But since you don't want it, I hear good things about the Rezound battery and would recommend staying with an OEM battery to avoid any problems.

if you are under warranty then they should replace it for you.

Verizon was settling the Rezound batt for 20.00 that's what I got

I got a pair of Anker shipped for about $15, even came with a charger. You can dump the old battery, put one of the Anker batteries in the phone and have another ready to swap. The charger is almost worthless but I have no complaints about the battery. I think it performs better than OEM but that may be because of better power management with these custom ROMs.

WeI have a battery capacity measuring setup where I work. I tested the factory battery, a Seidio battery,a Rezound battery, and a set of China knockoffs that came with a cheap charger. The none HTC factory batteries lie about the capacity. The Rezound battery came out very close to actual 1620Mahr. For just $20, it is hard to beat. The phone does have some issues with the Rezound calibration. Basically, it reports the percentage a bit wrong.

Another vote for the Rezound 1620mAh battery. :) I've been using two of them since last Nov. They work great in the Thunderbolt and provide at least an extra 2 hours (more with light use) of run time compared to the standard Thunderbolt 1400mAh battery. I charge mine via an external charger, but if you charge them with the phone you may notice an anomaly where they may jump from 80 to 100% charge pretty quick. Otherwise, they discharge normally. I rarely use the extended battery anymore since getting these Rezound ones, which has been perfectly fine with me as IMO the extended always added too much bulk and detracted from the sleekness of the phone with that hump.

Thanks for all the info. I was hoping the Rezound would be the clear winner and it definitely is!

I'm a little disappointed that in the Thunderbolt, battery percentage may not be accurately reported and there can be random percentage jumps, but as long as the battery is operating correctly, I can let that slide.

Can I go with the Amazon $11 one or should I spend the extra $9 to get one off the Verizon site?

I got mine directly from Verizon. They came in HTC/Verizon branded packaging. As far as I can tell though, comparing the one on Amazon to mine, they look the same and the reviews there are good.
