Getting (hopefully) a Note 8 tomorrow and want to be ready for when I get it going. Just want some app recommendations

I want apps for:
Changing the NavBar Icons to Stock Android ones.

Disabling Bixby Voice, I don't ever see myself talking to my phone.

Changing the Recent Apps Rolodex to a grid layout.

The best sports app for checking Toronto Maple Leaf Games
Double Tap to Wake app

Swipe up to go to home (Like BB10 and WebOS, crapple just copied those two)

Swipe up and right to open an app (my PRIV had this)

Also, can someone take a screenshot of thier note who has Nova Launcher on it and has it set up like a Pixel Launcher please. I want to make a bunch of wallpapers.

Hi there! Let's see what we can do...

1) Substratum. Themeing engine that works without root on Samsung devices. I just saw a post yesterday of someone using this tho theme their nav bar to some funky colors and 'stock' button graphics.

2) No need for extra stuff. Bixby button can now be disabled from Bixby. You cannot, however, re-assign the button to do anything else, so it'll just be a 'dead' button. Also, long-press, if enabled, still prompts Bixby commands.

3) That, I don't think you can do without some serious ROM modification.

4) Sports and me don't get along, so I'll pass on this one.

5) You don't need an app (although I think some on the Play Store are available, but they might need root, and not entirely sure apps can have access to input while the screen is off), but you can have something similar if you have AOD enabled. Double-tap on the home button will wake the device. You can also set it to long-press.

6) You can set gestures on some launchers like Nova, but I don't think such gestures work when an app is on the foreground. In any case, you have the home button right there... tapping is faster than swiping.

7) Again, launcher with gesture support.

8)I'm using Nova, but hate the look of stock Android, so nope, no Pixel look for me. Sorry.

1: Do I have to give that app all sorts of device access?

2: How would I assign it to something else, is there a decent button re mapper out there?

3: Damn, rolodex is not user freindly

5:AoD could lead to burn in and I'd like to avoid that

6: Been swiping up for years, even on my PRIV I had a swip up gesture, not sure if the app will work with the Samsung one though.

7: Would the gesture (I use NOVA), work with any app open?

1) Probably, but it's a pretty safe app. Highly rated and trusted community.

2) 3rd party re-mappers on the Play Store, but Samsung keeps patching the system so that they don't work, so you might be without it for a couple days until the devs figure it out and push out an update. Rooting is the only way to permanently re-assign it.

3) You get used to it, TBH...but I'd prefer a card preview that would allow me to see more apps at once.

4) I still don't like sports haha

5) It moves around to avoid that. I've used it all the time since the S7E and no burn-in at all. I don't own them for more than 6 or 7 months, usually, but well, there you go. Even the home button moves around. It's barely noticeable, but it does.

6) Haven't tried 3rd party ones to work over open apps, but on launchers it does work.

7) Nope, unfortunately that only works while on the launcher. It's not gestures, but you can assign shortcuts to the S-Pen floating button, and that does work over any app.
