Looking for Opinions

Here it is in a nutshell........ I started with a HTC Thunderbolt and recently was given a HTC Rezound thru warranty replacement coverage. I am eligible for an upgrade....

The Razr MAXX is very appealing to me... mostly because of what I have heard about the battery! You see, I burn thru my Rezound battery very quickly due to using my phone as my camera, facebooking, and a few game apps I play regularly.

What's important to me is...... great battery, great camera, great call quality (have been considering getting rid of my landline, but keep holding on to it because of poor call quality, which I understand could be the phone or could be my location).

So to all you Razr MAXX users.... can you please provide me your opinion on these 3 things: battery, camera, call quality? And please add any additional good or bad things you have an opinion on.

I followed the same path as you. Coming from the rezound I was very worried about the camera not being as good. I had the bionic and was very disappointed with the camera. It's a 180 degree turn as the camera on the Razr maxx is up to par with the rezound. I haven't had any issues with the call quality as of yet. Bluetooth seems to not be clear but that is the only issue. Battery is a HUGE plus! At home on WiFi I can get close to 2 days on a charge. I'm in a high 4G area so when I'm out and about in Chicago I can get a reasonable 10- 13 hours with moderate use. So far I'm impressed and not disappointed about leaving HTC behind.

Didn't think about bluetooth.... but that's because I never remember to charge my ear piece! :-[

Best battery ever, great call quality and good camera (nothing that a third party camera app won't solve). You won't regret the move. Get it!

I love my Maxx. I have considered selling it and my Bionic to buy the Note 2 when it's released, but I am hesitant because I have loved Motorola devices. The camera is pretty good, not as good as some (iPhone, Samsung Galaxy S2, S3, Nexus) but it's perfectly capable. When I am outdoors and the sun is up, the camera looks amazing. Indoors it struggles a little more but with decent lighting it's good there too.

The call quality is amazing. People have told me before that they can hear me better than most other people they speak to on cell phones, and I have never had a problem hearing them either.

The battery is simply amazing. A lot of people were upset that it's performance was less on ICS than it was on GB, but even with the ICS update it still far outperforms the average, and above average competitors.

To keep it simple, I'll just rate your requests on a scale of 1-10 (10 being excellent).

Battery - 10
Call Quality - 9
Camera - 7.5

Don't get me wrong about the camera, it's perfectly good for a phone.

Thanks everyone. I think you have all pretty much sold me on it.... Now it's a matter of deciding on the Maxx or waiting for the Maxx HD release.
