Looking to get a new phone, which one should I get?

Currently have the S6 Edge, and it's alright, but would be nice to have something different. I think my top priority this time around is battery life. I want amazing battery life, at least enough to get me through the day with 5-6 hours of SoT. I have looked at the S7 Edge, but I guess I am skeptical because there are mixed reports about the battery, plus I guess I don't really trust Samsung with batteries that much anymore. I also have been really into the Nexus 6P, but I am worried about the specs since it is a little dated. I have even thought about the Mate 8. I really just want a phone with amazing battery life, but without sacrificing material or hardware. Please help.
