Looking to install Radio after CM7.1

I can't find a download link or process for restoring cell service after flashing to CM7.1. I found something that said that I may have to change the recovery back and then flash a legit ROM?

Depends if you were on the ZVH radio before. That process is running the VD update.zip twice according to this post. This will install the VD recovery and the 2nd time flashing it, it will install the VD radio. Then root with Gingersnap and flash Xionia recovery. Or if you are on VD radio already, you just need to update your profile and PRL, just flash the Reborn rom or any Sprint based Rom to do so.

I was running the latest official firmware, then downgraded to V9 to root, then went up to rooted VZH with gingersnap, then installed Xionia and flashed CM7.1 with the modern market. So, I run the VD update.zip, then gingersnap again, then reinstall VZH, then root again?

With CM7, ZVH radio doesn't work. so you don't touch vZH at all. You stay in VD. After your root VD, install Xionia recovery, and flash CM7

oh, so I have to go back to stock recovery, then re-flash VD, then reinstall Xionia, then go back to CM7 installation steps? ugh, it's a pain to have spent over an hour doing extra steps, but at least I'll know what I'm doing this time around

Okay, I'm on VD with Xionia, and I have cell service again, but my data doesn't seem to be working. Before I continue, does anyone know if this is due to a misstep on my part? Or will it be restored once I move on to CM7? It's hard to tell if it isn't just a service outage.

When I did the VH to vd downgrade, I had to ##data# and enter my msl code. You have get that from a sprint operator. This was on a sprint vd rom

I did VH to V9, then up to VD, instead of whatever weird thing that post was saying to do.

I called sprint, had them do whatever it is they do for clients when service goes out. After a little while I got data back, but have lost it again. Making another call now. I'm just trying to figure out if I have possibly mismatched radio&firmware.

Write down that six digit number, then you can do it anytime. But it should have stuck.

Couldn't I have done this with the custom recovery I installed? Even after resetting this, I cannot get data... Gonna go and try for the complete restore, then start from the top... If I get that far.

CONCLUSION:

After not having data, I reverted to stock V8 via the guide here, then updated to V9, then to VD, then installed Xionia Recovery, then installed CM7.1, and everything works like a charm.
