Looks like a virus. Anybody knows what it is?

Today all letters and numbers on my home screen have been turning into solid rectangles (take a look at these photos)

Do you have an idea what it is and how to fix it? Thanks!

Welcome to Android Central! Don't worry, it's not a virus. This happens from time to time on some Samsung devices--not sure what the cause is. It usually goes away with a reboot. If that doesn't help, then try wiping the cache partition, which won't erase any personal data: https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-11017
