Loopt vs. Foursquare

I am curious whether everyone out there prefers loopt or foursquare. I have tried both and they both seem to do basically the same thing. Foursquare seems to maybe have a larger following. Loopt seems to have a slicker interface. What does everyone out there prefer?

I have used both...and prefer like both....I have more friends on foursquare...

Just the opposite to Jax here, I've used Loopt much longer, and while I only just recently created an account with Foursquare, I only know 4 people that use it. Both seem to basically do the same thing, though, as you stated.

1 major difference as far as i see is that loopt stays running in the background all the time killing your battery. foursquare is only up till you checkin then you close it.

and yes i like and use foursquare. its integrated into Waze (GPS) as well.
