I hope I am not crazy, but I just took off my gel skin to remove dust and I realized my volume rocker is rather flimsy and loose.the power button too but not as bad as the volume:/ has anyone else noticed this its really quirking me

Mine is mostly snug but moves a tad. I'm assuming yours is probably defective so hopefully you're still within your return policy. Just out of curiosity can you post a video of this? Thanks.

Moneymike considering how particular you are about your phones, I would say return it before your window is gone or else you will be regretting it for 2 years.

I kinda made it sound worse then it really is its kinda an ocd annoyance I mean the button isn't about to fall off but it has slight. Play to it and when u tap it gently with your fingertip u can hear it.I am under the 14 day purchase period just wanted some feedback from the community.I never throw cases on myphones and I hope the snug gel case isn't the reason for this.

No mind doesn't do that. Exchange it while you can. I just exchanged my phone tonight due to creaking throughout the phone. So glad I did because my unit is flawless. Couldn't be happier. You owe it to yourself to be happy with it. These phones are not cheap. Why settle for any flaws? I just tested my volume rocker and its very sturdy and doesn't move like you described. Yours is definitely defective. So go exchange it and be happy. :D

Good news..no problems with my exchange.bad news- my new units volume rocker had the same amount of play to it straight out of the box.I guess that's how Htcs are manufactured unfortunately :(. I'm going to try and never touch the volume rocker,if I could help it.I guess I could have stuck with the old one but oh well got a fresh new 1 and will be leaving it naked.running to the mall to exchange my gel skin for a leather pouch

I'm sorry to hear that. I recommend the T-Mobile silicone case. I'm always touching my volume rocker.

thanks again for the input and encouragement for the exchange matt.i just dont understand how my new one,old one,and the store models volume rockers were all loose, and no1 has responded saying theirs was loose on here.i wonder if its just a bad 1st batch that my store got. i guess i can do the FIY fix with the paper,or electrical tape, worst comes to worst

Mine has some very slight play but I know its part of the design. Definitely not loose to where its defective.

After reading this thread yesterday, i noticed mine was a bit loose. Im at work a few hours ago, and it completely falls off the phone. I call t-mobile just now, they tell me its my fault, even though its not, and that I have to go through Asurion. I've had the phone 6 days.

wow that sucks bro,i had a sound issue ontop of the loose rocker so i exchanged it for a brand new one and the new ones volume rocker was just as loose-not to where its gonna fall off but my old one,new 1 ,and the store models all had the same jiggle to it. it must be how they are all made which is rediculous like they couldnt use a rubber button like on blackberrys for it i dont get it.
