Losing 3g randomly

I lose my 3g service a few times a day on both mine and my wifes Thunderbolts ( We do not have 4g in our area yet). I can't believe both phone can be bad. Is there any fix for this? *228 does not work on these phones from what I heard. PLEASE HELP. BTW I did a search and could not find and solutions for this.

Some put the phone in airplane mode then turn if off,temporary fix. Hope this helps.

Yeah. I do that already,but was hoping for a fix for it.

I know mine only does it at home so I just keep it on wifi I hope they come up with a OTA update soon.

I get the same thing. I will just lose 3g even though the tower is across the street and I have perfect signal. It will just drop to nothing and I have to switch to airplane mode then back and I am good. I have to do this usually once per day.
