Losing paid apps after Root?

So, I searched and found a similar thread, but it didn't really answer my question so here goes. I rooted my phone the other day. No problems there. However, when I went to put my apps back on the phone, the paid apps were nowhere to be found. I went to the market and tried to download the apps and got a message that the files could not be found.

I have to believe that I was doing something wrong, because I have not heard about losing any apps before. So can anyone point me in the right direction? I couldn't figure it out and had to unroot b/c I needed one of the programs for work. Thanks in advance!

Depending on how you rooted, you may need to flash a ROM to fix the market. An example of this is toast root, after you do toast root you will not see protected apps in the market until you flash a ROM

I did the simple root method, and I hadn't flashed any ROMs yet. I will try that, thanks!
